Declutter Your Tech & Support Local Kids!
This Earth Day, give your old tech a second life! Sierra Pacific Credit Union is teaming up with the Reno Cigar Lion’s Club (RCL) for a special E-Waste Drive on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at our 5580 Mill Street branch in Reno.
Got an old laptop gathering dust? A phone from three upgrades ago? Instead of letting them pile up or, worse, end up in a landfill, donate them to a cause that makes a difference. We’ll reuse and repurpose old computers to support local kids!
Why Donate?
Many of us hold onto outdated computers, tablets, and phones, unsure of what to do with them. This Earth Day, we’re making it easy to safely recycle your unwanted tech while supporting RCL’s Computers for Kids program.
- Tech for Good – Some donated devices will be securely wiped, reprogrammed, and given to kids who need a computer for school.
- Eco-Friendly Impact – Devices that can’t be reused will be salvaged for parts, reducing landfill waste and helping fund the program.
- Safe & Secure – Your old tech will be expertly wiped of all data to prevent identity theft.
- Community First – Your donation directly helps local students get access to technology and tech education.
How You Can Help
Between now and April, take a few minutes to gather your unused tech—computers, tablets, phones, monitors, mouses, and other electronics. Mark your calendar for April 12th, 2025, and plan to drop them off at Sierra Pacific Credit Union, 5580 Mill Street.
By donating, you’re protecting the planet, decluttering your home, and giving kids in our community the tools they need to succeed.
Stay tuned for more details as Earth Day approaches!
